“Draw Happy” Doodle in progress.
This weekend I worked on my HOW Design Conference presentation which will be titled “Drawing Conclusions.” Researching, interviewing, and producing my talk meant I also found myself doodling a lot too.
Some of my titling in my presentation will be hand drawn and while I had my pen warmed up I took a few minutes and created the design shown in this post.
Final weekend doodle “Draw Happy.”
Lately I’ve been drawing characters that look like this guy. Well established mustache, baggy eyes, a hat far too small for the figures head, wings popping out from various areas of the body, and of course a firm grasp on or an image of a pencil. I usually start with a 2B pencil and than ink it with my PaperMate Flair pen.
Maybe this figure is an incarnation of a creative idea, or an angelic concept free-flying the artistic realm?

I love turning my super doodles into cool t-shirts so if you’d like one you can customize and order one here.
