A lot of creative concepts are developed by designers for explorative purposes and never see the light of day. Because of this I’ve always thought a good concept for a book would be to feature nothing but ideas that were never used.
One purpose my Drawsigner blog serves is to showcase design and illustration projects I’ve worked on, but for one reason or another either never got used or the client just didn’t like what I came up with. This post is about the later.

I love my job! Design and illustration are my creative life blood and being able to make a living doing what I enjoy makes my career a whole lot of fun. Sure, it has it’s moments of annoyances and frustrations like any job but that is the exception and not the rule.
One of my favorite things to do is to collaborate with other creatives. I’ve done this many times over the years and recently had an opportunity to brand a new work environment started by “12″ creative people in Florida called “Work Happy.”
The name these individuals picked embodies the whole spirit of what we do for a living. I’ve found that most creatives don’t view what they do as merely a job, it’s a way of life for them. I know that’s true for myself so I set out to design a unique logotype exclusive to them alone.
