Vertical Mosaic Photoshop overlay.

Back in 2008 I traveled to Israel and Jordan with two friends of mine. One of the sites we visited was Beit She’an an archeological site of a Roman city built in 63 B.C. While exploring the ruins I found an old Roman bath with an ancient mosaic floor and took some photos of it specifically to turn into a nice texture some day. Well it only took me over three years to get to this creative task.

Vertical water drop Photoshop overlay.

I’m always pleasantly surprised when inspiration hits me. It’s usually during a seemingly mundane situation and I suppose it’s my mind trying to entertain itself and thus avoid boredom? What ever the reason I never ignore it, I tend to act upon it immediately and at the very least document in some way so I can re-assess it later when I have the time.

The most recent example of momentary inspiration came while I was pumping gas during a down pour in Washington state. The side of the gas pump had all kinds of water droplets beading up on it’s surface and I thought it would make for a great Photoshop overlay.
